A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at St. Joseph's Church at 11 am on Tuesday, June 16, 2020. Following COVID-19 restrictions only the first 118 (or 30% of the church's maximum seating) will be permitted to enter the church. Two metres physical distancing must be maintained. Following Mass the burial of ashes at St. Louis de France Cemetery, Chisholm will be held at 12:30 pm. Cremation has taken place. After a brief illness, Francis Laferriere died peacefully, at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Friday, April 3, 2020. He was 90 years old. Francis was the beloved husband of Noella (St. George) of Chisholm. He was the much-loved father of Frank (Noella) of Oakville, Patty-Lynn (Tim Staring) of Minesing, Richard “Rick” (Deb) of Markham, Renée (Cris Fader) of Oakville and Nicole “Nicki” of Cornwall. He will be lovingly remembered by nine grandchildren.
