ROBERTSON, William "Gordon"
Gordon Robertson passed peacefully, with family by his side, at North Bay Regional Health Centre, on Monday, June 28, 2021. He was 94 years old. Gordon was the beloved husband of Edna (Foreshew) of Loring. He was the much-loved father of Donald (Joy) of Loring, Diane (Stephen Bates) of Port Loring, Paul (Jacqueline) of Ajax, Philip of Caledon and Joyce of Brampton. He was predeceased by his son Darrel (1951-2009). Grandpa will be lovingly remembered by eight grandchildren: Ian Robertson (Ana), Jennifer Clark (Jim), Rebekah Bates, Kerry Grant (Andrew), Aaron (Laura), Daniel (Bethany), Matthew and Jordan Robertson; five great-grandchildren: Brielle, Benson and Olivia Clark, Kezia Robertson and Benjamin Robertson, and one on the way! The last of his generation, Gordon was predeceased by his parents Florence Agnes (Bain) and William Henry Robertson and his siblings Jean Stillar (the late Isaac “Ike”), Beatrice Currie (the late Edgar), Agnes Humphrey (the late Howard), Archie Robertson (the late Joan), Margaret Barber (the late Harold), and Stewart Robertson (the late Emma). The Robertson family will receive visitors at the Arnstein Gospel Hall, on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. All are welcome, but capacity is limited and attendance must be reserved in advance. Please call the Paul Funeral Home, 705-724-2024 to reserve. COVID-19 protocols will be enforced. Masks must be worn and social distancing must be observed. A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 1 at 2:00 pm at the Arnstein Community Centre Outdoor Rink. Due to Covid restrictions, seating at the funeral service is by invitation only. However, if you wish to come to the funeral, you are more than welcome to listen to the service in your car in the parking lot or view it from the comfort of your home via Zoom. Should you wish, memorial donations to the North Bay Regional Health Centre Palliative Care Unit or the Argyle Nursing Station would be welcomed.
