Isabel Annette (Straus) Topps

Isabel passed peacefully, surrounded by family, at Nipissing Serenity Hospice, on Friday, July 25, 2025. She was 61 years old.

Isabel (Straus) was the beloved wife of Delwood Topps of Powassan. She was the much-loved mother of Aaron Topps (Sabrina), and April Murphy (Patrick), all of North Bay; and grandmother of James Bahri, Kara Topps, Ayden Murphy, and Hayley Murphy.

Isabel was predeceased by her parents Mary (Bester) and Francis Straus, and by her nephew Dwayne Desbiens. She was the dear sister of Wanda Aultman (Jim), Peter Straus (Karen) and Rita Desbiens (Wayne), all of Powassan.

Isabel will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Isabel’s life will take place Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan. Visiting 1:00 to 2:00 pm, followed by a service of remembrance at 2:00 pm.
