Jane Evelyn Mary Boudens

Jane passed away peacefully at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Sunday, August 18,2024. She was 61 years young. Jane was the beloved wife of Art Dudgeon; much-loved mother of Spencer Dean and cherished grandmother of Olivia (mother Valerie). She is survived by her mother Dallas (Leclaire) Boudens and her siblings Gerry (Hye Young), Tom, Nick (Patsy), Joanne (Scot), Alan (Jeffrey, George), Andy, and Peter (Cathy). She was predeceased by her father Peter Sr. and brother Greg Boudens. Jane was a devoted sister-in-law and aunt to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Her deep love for her family and friends will always be remembered.

Jane was an Early Childhood Educator and Educational Assistant for 39 years spending her last years of employment with the Near North District School Board.

Jane was a shining example of compassion, a person who always put others before herself. As an Educational Assistant, she worked tirelessly, guiding and supporting students with an unwavering dedication that left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. Her warmth and generosity were matched only by the beautiful smile she always carried. A smile that brought comfort and joy to those around her. Friends and family alike admired her for her selflessness and her constant willingness to help, no matter the situation. 

Her many hobbies, especially cooking and hosting, brought people together, but nothing gave her more joy than the cherished time with her beloved granddaughter.

Though she has left us, her memory lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her. Jane’s family would like to express their gratitude to the many doctors, nurses and other health care workers who care for her in the several departments of North Bay Regional Health Centre during her illness.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jane’s life will be held at Paul Funeral Home, Powassan, on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 11:00 am. A graveside service at Boxwell Cemetery then a reception at Paul Funeral Home will follow.
