John William Monk

With family by his side, John died peacefully at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Saturday, May 18, 2024. He was 75 years old.

John was the beloved husband of Beverley (Sothcott-Tremayne) of Nipissing, formerly of St. Catharines. He was the much-loved father of Sandrene L. Monk and Tamanda N. Elia, grandfather of Kendra, Aiden and Kayla and great-grandfather of Jacklin and Betty.

John is survived by his sister Catherine Davey and was predeceased by his sister Jacqueline Smith.

John was retired from a career as a fitter welder with Blenkhorn & Sawle, and Sandmark of St. Catharines.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of John’s life will take place on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Westminster United Church, 180 Queenston Street, St. Catharines at 11:00 am. Reception to follow.
