John Stuckless Death Notice

Master Warrant Officer, Retired

Surrounded by family, John Stuckless died peacefully, at North Bay Regional Health Centre, on Sunday, September 1, 2024. He was 84 years old. John was the beloved husband of 57 years of Mary (née Stockill) of North Bay; much loved father of Lori (Wes) Stroud of North Bay, Robert (Wanda) Stuckless of Del City, Oklahoma and Shelley Stuckless (James Kerekes) of Barrie; cherished grandfather of Tara Stuckless, Cody and Parker (Allyn) Stroud, Avery, Lauren and Adam Mogridge and great-grandfather of Cameron, Cadence and Briella Stuckless.

John is survived by his siblings Shirley (Phonse, deceased) Barker, Betty (Don) Tulk, Barb (Norm, deceased) Dean, Brenda (Mike) Canning and Bruce (Cindy) and Ben (Barb) Stuckless. He was predeceased by his parents Selina (née Buckley) and Wesley Stuckless, and by his siblings Garland (Carrie, deceased) Stuckless, Ada (Jim) Mercer, Vera (Bruce, deceased) Mercer, Toots (Mart, deceased) Lewis, Lu (Brud) Burge and Beverley (Pat) Kennedy. 

He will be dearly missed by his in-laws Agnes (Jack) Frederick, Joe (Kath) Stockill, David (Monique) Stockill and Kathy Tetreault (Brian Byers), as well as many nieces and nephews. 

John was retired from a 36-year career as an MWO Air Defence Technician with the Canadian Armed Forces. He was an avid curler with the CFB Curling Club and the North Bay Granite Club.

Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, September 15, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Paul Funeral Home, Powassan and will be live-streamed (See link below); followed by visiting and a reception.

Donations in John’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
