SUSKO, John Martial

Following a long illness, John Susko died peacefully, at Cornwall Community Hospital, on Monday, September 27, 2021. He was 80 years old. John was the beloved husband of Estelle (Lavigueur) of Cornwall. He was the much-loved father of John Susko (Colleen) and James “Jim” Susko, all of Cornwall, Cynthia Reichstein (Bryon) of Oakville and Robert “Rob” Susko (Heather Giroux) of North Bay. He was the much-loved grandfather of Nicholas Alguire (Chantal), John, Alexandra “Lexie”, Isabella “Bella”, Harley, CJ and Zachary “Zac”; and great-grandfather of Brooks and Vienna. John was the dear brother of Shirley Pitts (Frank) of Val-d’Or. For many years John was a well-known businessman in North Bay as the owner/operator of JES Financial Services and Susko & Associates. Prior to his illness, John and Estelle were longtime residents of Powassan. The Susko family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan, on Monday, October 4, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Please call 705-724-2024 to schedule your visit. Masks must be worn and physical distancing must be maintained. A limited attendance funeral service will take place at 3:00 pm. All are welcome, but calling to reserve a seat is required. The service will also be live streamed (see link below). If desired, memorial donations to the Powassan Food Bank or the Alzheimer's Society are suggested (directions below).
