John Ziemanis died suddenly, at his home on McQuaby Lake, on Sunday, November 5, 2023. He was 86 years old. John was the beloved husband of Edith “Edie” (Sawden) Ziemanis of Nipissing; the much-loved father of Krista Ziemanis of Manitoulin Island, Sondra Ziemanis-Salcedo (Ramon) of Calgary and Paul Ziemanis of Etobicoke; and the cherished “Poppa” of Kaden. John is survived by his sister Rita Ozols (the late Juris Ozols) and was predeceased by his brothers Leon (the late Aldona) and George (the late Gwen) Ziemanis. John was the owner/operator of John Z Electrical and retired from Canadian Forces Base North Bay. Cremation has taken place. No services will be held.
