June (Hodgekinson) McDonald

It is with sadness the family announces the passing of June McDonald (Hodgekinson) on March 21, 2026 at the age of 95. She is now in the loving arms of her late husband John (Jack) McDonald.

June was the loving mother of William “Bill” McDonald (Michelle). She will be missed by her grandchildren Brett McDonald (Trista) and Sarah Collinassi (Jadie); and six great-grandchildren.

June was predeceased by her parents Mary (MacDonald) Evanoff and William Hodgekinson; her sister Barbara (Evanoff) Nolet and step-father Harry Evanoff.

She will be fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

June was a supervisor with Zellers in Scarborough for many years. She was very proud of her time there.

She will now be on the golf course once again with Jack for an eternal round.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Eastholme for their wonderful care and kindness.

There will be no visitation at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, June would have wanted donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
