Surrounded by the family he loved so dearly, Len passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Nipissing Serenity Hospice in North Bay. He was 90 years old.
Len was the beloved husband of Veronica “Vonnie” (Fry) of Bear Valley; and much-loved father of Jeffrey Farley (Carolyn) of Corbeil, Cathy Clelland (Scott) of Estevan, SK and Darren Farley (Cindy) of Hanmer. He will be lovingly remembered by nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A trucker to his core, Len’s career began when he purchased his first dump truck at the age of 15. Over the decades, he trucked in the logging and forest products industries before eventually establishing a cardboard recycling business with the help of his wife and sons. While he spent many years behind the wheel, Len was, above all else, a true family man who found his greatest joy in the company of his loved ones.
The Farley family received visitors on Monday, May 18, 2026 at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan. The funeral service was held Tuesday, May 19 at 11:00 am and can be viewed here. A graveside service at Commanda Cemetery was followed by a reception at the Commanda Community Centre.
If desired, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Nipissing Serenity Hospice in appreciation of the care and comfort they provided.
