MOIR, Marie Antonette

After a short illness, Marie died peacefully, with family by her side, at Nipissing Serenity Hospice, North Bay, on Monday, February 6, 2023. She was 83 years old. Marie is survived by her partner Barry Van Reeth of North Bay and was predeceased by her first husband Donald Edgar Moir. Marie was the loving mother of Michelle (Patrick Burns) of Petawawa, Kent (Mary Beth) of North Bay, and Todd (Laurie) of York, Pennsylvania. She was the proud grandmother of Ryan, Emily, Hope, Paige, Ben, Brooklyn and Nick. Marie is survived by her last remaining family member Cecile Paterson, and predeceased by her siblings Margaret Lang, Caroline Strome, Anne Dannecker and Stan, John, Bernard, Louis, Ted, Charles and Bernard Nowak. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, Powassan on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 11:00 am. Spring interment will take place at Powassan Union Cemetery. The family will welcome friends at the Raven and Republic, 246 First Ave West, North Bay, at 3:30 pm Friday, to share stories and celebrate Marie’s life.
