Dolly died peacefully with family by her side at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Thursday, June 18, 2026. She was in her 90th year.
Dolly was predeceased by her husband James A. “Jim” Ismond (1935-2015). She was the beloved mother of Sherry Ismond-Gauthier (Peter) of Powassan, Julie Gohm (Dan) of Powassan and Michelle Steven (Jeff) of St. Albert, Alberta. She will be lovingly remembered by seven grandchildren: Cody, Carson, Marlena, Brandon, Rebecca, Amye and Dannielle and eight great-grandchildren: Parker, Lennon, Sadie, Jack, Sawyer, Lily, Lachlan and Avery.
Dolly is survived by her dear friend Ed Hogan of Powassan.
She was predeceased by her siblings Frances, Ruth, Gordon, Sandy, Hodgen and Jim.
Cremation has taken place.
The Ismond family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 1:30 to 3:00 pm., followed by a service of remembrance at 3:00 pm.
