Marjorie Mae (Richards) Hazelwood

Marjorie passed away peacefully at Algonquin Nursing Home, Mattawa, on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the age of 96. Marjorie was predeceased by her adoring husband of 63 years, Donald Oliver Hazelwood.

She was the beloved mother of Patricia (late Bill McClelland) (Mack Hughes) of Kitchener, Kevin (Tess) of Mattawa, Larry (Kathy) of Dunnville and Eugene (Janet) of Huntsville. Grandma will be lovingly remembered by all her grandchildren and by all her great-grandchildren. 

Marjorie was a dear sister of Annie (Jim Fife) (Ralph) Oulton, Evelene Richards, John Richards, June (Ron) Bergeron, Muriel (Harry) Mose, Wilma (Eldon) Higgins, Elva Richards, Glen Richards, Urbane (Joan) Richards, and Murray (Ruth) Richards.

Marjorie was a joyful, lifelong homemaker and a loving caregiver to many. Anyone that graced her door was welcomed with a warm greeting and more often than not left with a full belly and heart!

She was a deeply cherished wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who anchored her family in her love and her faith. 

Heartfelt thanks to the Algonquin Nursing Home staff who cared for Marjorie in her final years and helped make the Cedar Wing feel like home.
