Mary Berg died peacefully, with family by her side, on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at North Bay Regional Health Centre. She was 89 years old. Mary (Johnston) was the beloved wife of George Berg of Powassan. She was the cherished mother of Janet Duncan (Douglas), Allan Berg (Debbie), Julie Anderson (Chris), Brenda Boudreau (Jacques), Linda Karn (Russell), Shelley Bastain (the late Doug), Arne Berg (Sandy), Eric Berg and Brian Berg (Jennifer). She will be lovingly remembered by 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her siblings Lorne, Wilbur, Eileen and Belle. Mary was full time wife and homemaker. She was a devout Christian all her life and a faithful member of the Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Powassan. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Powassan Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Saturday, April 29, 4:00 pm.
