She also enjoyed crocheting, reading, writing stories and poetry, and listening to music. She could play piano, strum guitar and blow on the recorder without much success, but with great enjoyment. She was fond of animals and had cats, dogs, birds and fish as pets over the years. Her pet cat Rowdy remains a much loved member of her family and will be cared for by Linda and her family. Moira was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Catholic Women’s League, Powassan and she had a strong spiritual faith with God through prayer with Jesus Christ. In lieu of flowers, gifts to St. Joseph’s CWL, Powassan or to All Heart Pet Rescue, Powassan or Eastholme Residents Fund are appreciated. The Somer family express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Eastholme in Powassan, who made Moira’s last years comfortable and filled with love. Cremation has taken place.
