Neta Krause died peacefully, at her home in Powassan, on Saturday, April 24, 2021. She was 92 years old. Neta (Klassen) was predeceased by her husband Kornelius Krause (1918-2014). She was the beloved mother of Arthur (Mieke), Elsie (the late Ed Hook), Alvin (Lisa), all of Powassan, Leni Sharpe of Leamington, Helga (Paul Jordan) of Moonstone and Erika (Steven Beaton) of New Liskeard. Oma will be lovingly remembered by 21 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Neta is survived by her sisters Helen and Agatha of Niagara, and was predeceased by her siblings Gerhardt, Mary, Pauline, Leni, and John. The Krause family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan, on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, attendance will be limited; masks must be worn, hands sanitized upon entry, and physical distancing will be strictly enforced. All visitors must call ahead to reserve an attendance time, 705-724-2024. A private funeral service will be streamed via Zoom on Friday, April 30 at 10:30 am. You must preregister to view.
