BROOKS, Patricia ‘Colleen’

Colleen Brooks died peacefully, at home as she wished, surrounded by family. She was 90 years old. Colleen was predeceased by her husband Lyman Brooks (1921-1999). She was the beloved mother of Wayne (Dianne) of Sundridge, Vicky Clelland (Terry) of Bear Valley, Deborah Anderson (the late Billy) of Port Loring, Randy (Janet) of Powassan, Barry (Darlene) of North Bay, Cindy Burbidge (Blair) of Utopia and Ricky (Rebecca) of Trout Creek. She was predeceased by her children Tracy (1962-1969) and Dianne (1957-1975). Nana will be lovingly remembered by 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.  Colleen was the dear sister of the late Barbara Thompson, Connie MacDonald of Trenton, the late Doreen Culin, the late Hilda Kirton, Verda Foreshew of Chelmsford, the late Muriel Duncan and Judy Pringle of Port Loring. Colleen served for 24 years as secretary of Argyle Public School. She will be remembered for her brilliant smile, her jolly personality and her welcoming, open-door nature. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private funeral service will take place at Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 3:00 pm. If you wish, memorial donations to the Arnstein Baptist Church for Samaritan’s Purse or the Canadian Diabetes Association are suggested (addresses below).
