Paula Loeffen-Closs

Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at  Matthews House Hospice in Alliston, after a life full of love and a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Paula (Loeffen) will be deeply missed by her husband Rob Closs and two children, Robyn & Ryan, all of Alliston. She is lovingly remembered by her sister Geraldine (Corey) Young and nieces Joelene and Jaclyn, and her brother Barry Loeffen. She is also remembered by her sisters-in-law Ann (Roland) Aultman, Laura (late Kenny) Topham, Wilda Closs (Steve Hudson), Brenda (Roy) Leamen and niece Hannah; brother-in-law John and his children Melissa, Amanda, Donald and James. Paula was predeceased by her infant son Micheal Closs; parents Peter and Shirley Loeffen; her infant brother Paul and her parents-in-law Donald and Mary Closs.

A message from Paula: ““I would like to thank everyone for your love and friendship on this journey, we call life. I am grateful for each of you and the time we had together. Please pray for me and watch over my family.” 

At Paula’s request, if you are attending her service, please dress comfortably. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Matthews House Hospice, Alliston, Ontario. If you cannot attend, please hold Paula in your heart. 

Paula’s family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan, on Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 4, at 11:00 am. at Sacred Heart Church, Trout Creek. Interment will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery at a later date.
