It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Richard passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 30, 2024, at Eastholme, Home for the Aged, in his 73rd year. Predeceased by parents Elmer Sheppard (Evelyn) & Beatrice Fitchett (Jim). Richard was a loving father to Jennifer Yee (Chris) and proud Papa to grandsons Hudson and Steven. Richard will be missed by many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends. Especially by long time friend Nora Parrish and bonus son William Parrish.

Richard was born in Orillia and was an Orillia boy through and through. Whenever moving away, he was always quick to return to the sunshine city. Spending his life in Orillia until moving to be with his daughter and her family in North Bay, and eventually making his last stop to Eastholme in Powassan. A special thank you to all the workers of Eastholme, your hard work didn’t go unnoticed, and we truly appreciate how well you cared for Dad.

Dad always had a smile on his face and never took life to seriously. He loved country music and was always up for a nice cold beer and a party. So, we ask you to join us in having a celebration of life in Dad’s memory. Celebration will be held Saturday August 24 at Moose Lodge Orillia from 1-6 p.m.
