Ray Peters died unexpectedly, at his home in Callander, on Friday, July 8, 2022. He was 80 years old. Ray was predeceased by his wife Mary “Jayne” (Tofflemire) (1946-2019). He was the much-loved father of Michael (Christine) of Nipissing and Jason (Jin) of Taipei, Taiwan and will be lovingly remembered by grandchildren Ashley, Noah, and Cassie, and great-grandson Westin. Ray was predeceased by his sisters Florence Rich and Marcella VanMierlo, and by his brothers Alvin, Joe, Mervin, Carl and Bill Peters. Ray was a longtime employee of Fabrene, retiring after 32 years. Cremation has taken place. The Peters family will receive visitors at Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 10 to 11 am with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 am. Private interment of ashes will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society are suggested.
