LINK, Reginald “John”
John Link died peacefully, at North Bay Regional Health Centre, on Monday, October 5, 2020. He was 80 years old. John was the beloved husband of 47 years of Nancy (Clark) of Callander. He was the much loved father of Matthew Link (Deb) of Illinois and Christopher Link of North Bay. Papa will be lovingly remembered by four grandchildren: Kathryn, Connor, Mitchell and Christina. Lovingly remembered by Carla Kindratiuk of Bonneyville, AB. John was the dear brother of Pat Haigh of Calgary, AB, and was predeceased by his brothers Stan, Norm and Fred Link. John was the well-known owner/operator of Link’s Camping Grounds and Beach from 1957 to 2007. John was also actively involved in the North Bay Lapidary Club, The Nipissing Rifle & Revolver Club, the Historical Automobile Society of Canada, the Almaguin-Nipissing Travel Association and the Lake Nipissing Walleye Restocking Program. The Link family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Sunday, October 11, 2020 from 7 to 9 pm; on Monday, October 12 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and on Tuesday, October 13 from 10 am until time of funeral service at 11am. Interment will follow at Nipissing Cemetery. COVID-19 restrictions are in effect. Masks are required and two metres physical distancing must be maintained. Attendance at the funeral service is limited to 50 people. Should you wish to make a donation in John’s memory, the Nature Conservancy of Canada is suggested.
