HEIMBOLD, Rita Anna Elisabeth

Rita died peacefully at age 88, at her North Bay home, on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. She was predeceased by her husband Hans Eckardt Heimbold (1930-2019). Rita was the beloved mother of Eckardt Heimbold (Christiane), Petra Betz (Hans), Peter Heimbold and the proud and loving Oma of Stefan, Andreas and Melanie, all of Germany. She was predeceased by her brother Günther Hornig (Lilo) and was the sister-in-law of Jürgen Heimbold (Heidi) and Christa Heyn (Arno), all of Germany. Rita was born in Bergedorf, Germany where she married Hans. They immigrated to Canada in 1984 to farm on the Alsace Road, near Powassan. Cremation has taken place.
