The family of Rita Johnson announce that she died at Casselholme, North Bay, on Friday, November 6, 2020. She was 89 years old. Rita is survived by her partner Gloria Johnson and her sister Laura Johnson as well as nieces Faithe and Laura Dayman, Norma McKenney and nephews Wayne, David, and Brian Jones, Adam Stanton and Frankie Barry. She was predeceased by her siblings Fidela Jones, Lorna MacPherson, Faithe Dayman, Linda Barry, Francis, Lloyd, Shirley, Winnifred, and William Johnson. A graveside service for the burial of her ashes will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Callander Union Cemetery. COVID-19 restrictions are in effect. Masks are required and two metres physical distancing must be maintained. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society are suggested.
