GRASSER, Ronald Joseph    

Ron Grasser died peacefully, at North Bay Regional Health Centre, on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. He was 85 years old. Ron is survived by his wife of 60 years, Erva (Whitehead) of Trout Creek; children Gordon (Helene) of Sturgeon Falls, Lawrence of Trout Creek, Beth (Randy Hall) of Powassan, Norm (Bonnie) of Loring; grandchildren Travis, Cody, Natasha, Christopher, Breeanna and Megan; great-granddaughter Gwenyth; siblings Shirley (Ron Yerkie) of Powassan, Betty Young (the late Carl) of North Bay, Jimmy (Sue) of Callander and Stephen of Trout Creek. Ron was predeceased by his parents Emma (Oshell) and Frank Grasser, and by his brother Ken. Ron was a retired employee of Dupont. He was an enthusiastic lover of bluegrass music and attended many, many festivals over his lifetime. Ron was instrumental in the creation of the well-known Trout Creek Bluegrass Festival and was an active supporter of the River Valley Bluegrass Festival. He was an avid outdoorsman and lifelong hunter. Cremation has taken place. No services will be held. Donations to a charity of your choice in memory of Ron, will be appreciated.
