Ronald Simpson Death Notice

SIMPSON, Ronald James

With family by his side, Ron Simpson peacefully passed at his home in Arnstein, after a short  battle with cancer. He was 80 years old. Ron was the beloved husband of Sharon (Lamont) of Arnstein. He was the much-loved father of Bill (Angela) and Roger (Lisa), all of St. Thomas. He will be lovingly remembered by grandchildren Matthew, James and Sheena (Wass) and great-grandchildren Jake, Sawyer and Hendricks. Ron was predeceased by his siblings Allan (Pat of Nipissing), Garrell (the late Marie) and Faye. Ron was born and raised in Arnstein and worked as a fly-in fishing guide in his youth. He moved south to St. Thomas where he worked for Ford Motor Company, retiring in June 1997. Ron returned to Arnstein and enjoyed retirement at his lakeside home on Seagull Lake. The Simpson family would like to thank Dr. Hailey Moore and her staff, as well as the wonderful VON staff that cared for Ron and allowed him to stay home as he wished. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten. Cremation has taken place. The Simpson family will receive visitors at Arnstein Baptist Church on Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm, with a memorial service at 3:00 pm. Interment will follow at Arnstein Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Victorian Order of Nurses or the Arnstein Cemetery are suggested.
