Russel Harold Foreshew

Russel died peacefully at his home in Loring, on Thursday, February 12, 2026. He was 84 years old.

Russel was the beloved husband of Susan (nee Brunne), whose loving care and commitment allowed Russel to remain at home throughout his illness, as he wished.

He was the much-loved father of Chad Foreshew (Lisa) of Kirkfield, Brad Foreshew (Lauralee) of Loring, Cyril Foreshew of Port Loring and Byrne Foreshew (Lois) of Panama. He will be lovingly remembered by six grandchildren: Alex, Mitchell, Brunne, Lacey, Caleb and Alysia and one great-grandson, Jacob.

Russel was the dear brother of Walter (Verda), Carl (Diane), Sylvia Ellis (Jim), Eunice Grozelle and Florence McIntyre (the late Leslie). He was predeceased by his siblings Albert (the late Dorothy), Elizabeth Foreshew and Verna MacWilliams (the late Rod).

Russel had a long career with the Department of Highways (now MTO), from which he retired as Municipal Foreman.

The Foreshew family received visitors at Arnstein Gospel Hall on Thursday, February 19, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and on Friday, February 20 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The funeral service followed Friday at 12:00 pm. See the funeral service here.  Spring interment will take place at Arnstein Cemetery.
