Ruth died unexpectedly and peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, at North Bay Regional Health Centre, on Sunday, June 22, 2025. She was 81 years old.
Ruth (née Leonard) was the beloved wife of Everett Lunn of Powassan; mother of Kathleen Lunn (Kevon) of Wahnapitae and Rhett Lunn (Doha) of Toronto; grandmother of Kyle, Sarah (Lucas), Ian, and Sean (Tatiana); and great-grandmother of Mira.
Ruth was predeceased by her parents Elizabeth (Wallington) and Royston Leonard, and by her sister Diane Durrant (Ralph).
Ruth spent her life in service to others, using her accounting talents to support local churches, charities, and businesses well past her retirement.
According to her wishes, cremation has already taken place.
The Lunn family will receive visitors at Powassan Wesleyan Church on Monday, July 7, 2025 from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. A reception and time of fellowship will follow.
