Ruth Lillian (White) Murdoch

In loving memory of Ruth, who passed away peacefully, at the age of 98, at Eastholme, Powassan, on Thursday, June 20, 2024.

Ruth was predeceased by her husband Robert Murdoch (1919-1992), her parents Selena (Robinson) and William White, her brothers Ken, Verdon and Elwin White, and her grandson Jeff Murdoch.

Ruth was the beloved mother of Allen Murdoch (Mary) of Hanmer, Greg Murdoch (Lorraine) of Callander, David Murdoch (Carole) of Newfoundland, and Marianne Sutcliffe (Ken) of Corbeil. She was the much-loved grandmother of Robert, Shannon, Trevor, Billy, Ashley, Dylan, Kelsey, Meghan, Kristan, Cody; and great-grandmother of Macy, Skyler, Myles, Isla, Eli, Autumn, Birch, William, Noelle, Ellie, Rory and Finnegan.

Ruth is survived by her sister Eileen Cook of Brampton and will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Ruth had many passions in life. She had a deep love for gardening and spent many joyful hours cultivating her garden. Her green thumb and passion for flowers brought beauty and tranquility to her home and inspired those around her. Ruth also had a talent for sewing, quilting and knitting, creating countless cherished items for her family and friends over the years.

The Murdoch family would like to thank the staff of Eastholme for their exceptional care and compassion during Ruth’s time there.

Friends and relatives will be received at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan, on Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am. Interment Callander Union Cemetery.
