Shirley (Barber) Tennant

Shirley passed peacefully in her sleep, on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Eastholme, Powassan. She was 92 years old. Shirley (Barber) by predeceased by her husband Lloyd Tennant (1925-2007). She was the beloved mother of three sons:

Shirley was predeceased by her brother Alan Barber (1937-2007).

In addition to homemaking and helping on the family farm, Shirley worked as a Health Care Aide in Powassan. She was a member of St. John’s (Chisholm) and St. Mary’s (Powassan) Anglican Churches for many decades, until failing health. Shirley spent her last few years at Eastholme, Powassan, where she enjoyed socializing and was well cared for.

The Tennant family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan, on Sunday, March 23, 2025 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home, on Monday, March 24 at 11:00 am. Spring burial will take place at Boxwell Cemetery, Chisholm.
