Stella Lyn (Waldriff) Hughes

Stella died peacefully, surrounded by family, at Health Sciences North, Sudbury, on Saturday, November 30, 2024. She was 77 years old. Stella (nee Waldriff) was predeceased by her husbands Harvey Hughes (1942- 1971) and Nelson Hughes (1928-2002). She was the beloved mother of Sherry LeBoeuf of Callander, Garnet Hughes (Cara Lee) of Callander, Kyla Johnson (Trevor Humphrey) of Burk’s Falls, Harvey Hughes (Amy) of Callander and Tonya Wagner (Bart) of Powassan. She was the much-loved grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Stella was the dear sister of Barbara Byers (Murray) and Margaret Hughes and was predeceased by her brother Allan Waldriff.

Stella was retired from a long career as a dietary aide at Nipissing Manor, Corbeil.

The Hughes family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan, on Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. A graveside service will take place at Nipissing Cemetery on Monday, December 9 at 12:00 noon.
