WEILER, Theodore Samual “Teddy”
Our Teddy died unexpectedly, at his home in Trout Creek, on Sunday, February 21, 2021. He was 58 years old.
Teddy was the beloved husband of Deanna (Brear) of Trout Creek and much-loved father of Kelly Weiler (Derek) of Port Elgin. His furry shadow Belle will miss him dearly and Zoe will be happy to see him.
Teddy was predeceased by his infant daughter Angelina and his parents Dora (Manella) and Mervyn Weiler.
He was the dear brother of Clarence Weiler (Janet) of Kingsville; Paul Weiler (Leona), Gerard Weiler (Sue) and Rose-Anne Weiler, all of Trout Creek; Charlene Weiler and Darlene Jamieson (Jason), all of North Bay.
Teddy will be lovingly remembered by his mother-in-law Annette (the late Ken) Brear and his siblings-in-law Lisa Conrad (Allen), all of Trout Creek and Ken Brear Jr. (Monica) of Essex. Teddy had many loved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends whom he considered family.
Teddy was enjoying retirement from a career at Hydro One. He served the Municipality of Powassan as a volunteer firefighter (Trout Creek), on the Emergency Management Committee and was Past Deputy Mayor. Teddy was well known throughout the area for his musical talent and was a member of the “Cats ‘n’ Jammers”.
The Weiler family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan, on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. In tribute to Teddy, PLAID AND DENIM ENCOURAGED! Due to COVID-19 protocols, all visitors must schedule an appointment by calling the funeral home, 705-724-2024. Masks must be worn; physical distancing must be maintained; and hand sanitization is mandatory upon entry. A restricted attendance funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm. The service will be available via ZOOM (see notes below for link). A slideshow will precede the service. If you would like to view the slideshow, please login by 1:30 pm. Please email contact@paulfuneralhome.ca with subject line: Attending Teddy’s Service and tell us who all is watching the Zoom Service so we can create a record of support for the family. When COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, a garage party will properly celebrate Teddy’s life as he would have wished. Please see PROCESSION ANNOUNCEMENT below if you would like to participate in lining the cortege route Saturday afternoon.
Teddy was not a man for flowers or memorial donations. He lived by the Golden Rule, “Treat others as you would like them to treat you”. In memory of Teddy, please extend acts of kindness to neighbors and strangers, as he did countless times.
If you have any questions or require assistance with the Zoom Service, please call PAUL FUNERAL HOME at (705)724-2024.
