TOMAN, Verlie Ann
Verlie died peacefully at Eastholme, Powassan, on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. She was 82 years old. Verlie (Metcalfe) was predeceased by her husband Robert Toman (1939-2021) and her son Michael Toman (1968-2018). She is survived by her son Steven Toman of Restoule and her daughter-in-law Leah Stillar of Nipissing. Verlie was a career teacher; teaching at Marchmont and Harriet Todd Public Schools in Orillia before retiring to Restoule. In retirement, Verlie was very active in St. Alban’s Anglican Church and the Anglican Church Women on a local, regional and national level. Following the closing of the church, she leant her skills and energy to Restoule United Church. Verlie also served many years on the Local Roads Board. Cremation has taken place.
