ANDERSON, Virginia Elizabeth
Virginia died peacefully, at her son’s home in Lindsay, on Sunday, May 2, 2021. She was 86 years old. Virginia (Rose) was predeceased by her husband William Edmon “Bud” Anderson (1930-2004). She was the beloved mother of Steve (Shannon) of Trout Creek, Peter (Simone) of Ottawa, Daniel (Denise) of Lindsay and Rachel (Mark Legault) of Port Carling. She will be lovingly remembered by 12 grandchildren: Shawn, Shane, Sheena, Sheramie, James, Eva, Leo, Kyle, Kelsey, Cole, Adam and Ian; and five great-grandchildren: Noah, Serena, Arianna, Sawyer and Juneau. Virginia was the dear sister of Silvana McQuoid (late Gerald) of Winnipeg, Betty Myre (late Phil) of Calgary and Ted Rose (RoseMarie) of North Bay. She will also be greatly missed by Bud's family and many friends and colleagues from near and far. Virginia was formerly a longtime health care aide at Eastholme and active in the Powassan Wesleyan Church. The Anderson family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan, on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, attendance will be limited; masks must be worn, hands sanitized upon entry, and physical distancing will be strictly enforced. All visitors are welcome but must call ahead to reserve an attendance time, 705-724-2024. A private funeral service will be streamed via Zoom on Saturday, May 8 at 2:00 pm.
