MATTHEWS, Wanita Gail (Formerly of Powassan and Bonfield)

Peacefully, at her home in Oakville, on Sunday, March 15, 2020, at the age of 72. Wanita (Setchell) was the beloved wife of Ray Matthews of Bonfield and Oakville. She was the much-loved mother of Susie Bolduc of Oakville, Steve Harvey of Peterborough and Kim Grasser of Hamilton; and stepmother of Craig Matthews of California, Kari-Ann Matthews of Oakville, Kelly Cavaluzzi of Mississauga and Krista Carpenter of Oakville. She will be lovingly remembered by 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Wanita was the dear sister of Sandra George (Robert) of Hanmer, Darryl Setchell (Marilyn) of Blind River, Peggy Rains (Ray) of Australia and Cherryl Warnica (Glen) of Barrie. She was predeceased by her parents Helene (Oldfield) and Harry Setchell. A funeral mass will be announced later in spring.
