PHILLIPS, Alvin

Surrounded by family, Alvin Phillips died peacefully, at North Bay Regional Health Centre, on September 25, 2015. He was in his 84th year. Alvin was the beloved husband of Joan (Anderson) of Powassan and much loved father of Andy (Karina Costa) of North Bay and Marian (Scott MacGregor) of Midhurst. Grandpa will be lovingly remembered by four grandchildren: Bronwyn, Gavin and Lauren MacGregor and Sofia Phillips-Costa. Alvin was predeceased by his siblings Theron Phillips (Joyce of Powassan) and Norma Skuce (the late Garry). Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 10:00 to 11:00 am., with a funeral service at 11:00 am. Cremation will follow with interment of ashes at Boxwell Cemetery at a later date.  If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are suggested.
