LOY, Shirley Lorene

After a long illness, Shirley Loy died peacefully, on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at North Bay Regional Health Centre. She was in her 84th year. Shirley (Doan) was the beloved wife of Robert A. “Bob” Loy (Sr.) for 58 years. She was the much loved mother of Robert “Rob” (Wendy), Peter (Bonnie), Susan (Steve Byers), all of Powassan and Ellen (Bill Hilton) of South Carolina. Grandma will be lovingly remembered by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is survived by her brothers Glenn (Jean) and Keith (Myrna). She was predeceased by her brother Jim (Edith, deceased and Jean Marie, surviving) and an infant sister Frances. The Loy family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Sunday, April 2, 2107 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, April 3 at 11 am. Cremation will be followed by interment of ashes at Holiness Cemetery, Powassan.
