STILLAR, Ruth Juanita

Ruth Stillar died peacefully, at her home in Christian Valley, with family at her side, on Saturday, January 7, 2017. She was in her 98th year. Ruth (Selwood) was predeceased by her husband Clifford Stillar (1915-1984). She was the beloved mother of Fay Grozelle (Roy, deceased) of Trout Creek, the late Michael Stillar (Karen of  Southampton), the late Terry Stillar (Judi of Sundridge), Barbara Rainville (Emmett, deceased) of Powassan, Cathy Geisler (Rick) of Christian Valley and Douglas Stillar (Lori) of Powassan. Gramma will be lovingly remembered by 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Ruth was the dear sister of Sylvia Smith of Powassan and was predeceased by her sister Kathleen Floyd and her brothers Arnold, Stanley and Albert Selwood. Ruth is survived by her sisters-in-law Nancy Selwood, Olive Jones, Joan Coutts and Yvonne Stillar. The Stillar family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm followed by the funeral service at 3:00 pm. Spring interment will take place at Nipissing Cemetery.
