PIPER, Harvey “Hub”

Harvey died peacefully, at his Lake Nipissing Home, on Thursday, July 13, 2017. He was in his 81st year. Harvey was predeceased by his wife Dianne (Purdon) (1941-1999). He was the beloved father of Terry (Helen) of Timmins and John (Susan) of Sudbury. Grandpa/Poppa will be lovingly remembered by grandchildren Kayla (Norm), Jada (Annie), Adam, Hunter and Krista, and his great-grandchildren Kendra, Ava, Brady and Carter. Dear brother of Roy (late Betty) of North Bay, Mary Hogg (Doug) of Caledon East, the late Agnes Davidson, Ethel Heath (late Bill) of Powassan and George (Betty) of Lake Nipissing. Fondly remembered by nieces Mary Ellen O’Riley (George), Lauri Hewitt (Bill) and many other nieces, nephews and friends. All who knew Harvey will treasure memories of his fantastic storytelling, whether truth or fiction. The Piper family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Monday, July 17, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Rev. Bob Jackson will conduct the funeral service at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Powassan Union Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation (cheques only please) are suggested.
