After a brave and determined battle with cancer, Donna Owens died peacefully at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Sunday, August 23, 2015. She was in her 46th year. Donna was the much loved mother of Derrek Young (Kristi Butson) of Guelph, Deven Young (Justine Levesque) of Trout Creek and stepson Kyle Wilson (Heidi) of North Bay. She was the beloved daughter of Faye (Thompson) of Golden Valley and the late Leonard Owens (1942-1995) and the cherished sister of Bonnie (Norm Grasser) of Angus and Tammy (Scott Dobbs) of Trout Creek. Donna’s family wish to acknowledge with gratitude Dr. Melanie O’Grady, Para-Med Nurse Jen, and all the nurses on Unit A-1. The Owens family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm. If desired, donations in memory of Donna to All Heart Pet Rescue or St. Paul’s Cemetery (Golden Valley) are suggested.
